 Lograr un ambiento en la escuela donde los niños y el docente son tratados con respeto y donde los alumnos tienen la oportunidad de aprender las destrezas que necesitan para una vida fructífera;

 donde los alumnos se sienten capaces de aprender del error en un ambiento seguro;

 donde aprenden cooperación más que la competición;

Some Prior Considerations

This blog for the moment deals especifically with the theme of classroom discipline and management.
We look at two possible ways of viewing discipline:

First, as the simple enforcement of rules where the authority has the first and last word and students are simply expected to obey. The traditional authoritarian style.

Second, from the perspective of Afirmative Discipline or Comprehensive Behavior. This implies implementing rules and regulations in terms of coexisting and living in harmony for the benefit of both teacher and students in the learning process. Here the emphasis is placed on the formation of RESPONSIBLE individuals with a developed self-critical attitude. This allows the teacher to act WITH AUTHORITY for the purpose of achieving in the classroom an atmosphere where teacher and students alike are treated with respect with a view to learning the abilities for a fruitful life in society.

In this context it is expected that:
- students feel capable of learning from their errors within a safe environment

- cooperation rather than competition is seen as the goal

- both teacher and students colaborate in finding solutions to daily problems by listening to each other, taking each other seriously and working in a manner beneficial to all.
In this manner an atmosphere is created that allows the development of healthy self-esteem as well as academic achievement.
